Monastery of Alcobaca



Listed by UNESCO as World Heritage site, this magnificent monastery is one of the finest and most impressive examples of Cistercian architecture in Eutrope. The church and monastery were the first Gothic buildings in Portugal and in 2007 they were named as one of the Sevon Wonders of Portugal. Although it was built almost 900 years ago, the monastery still preserves the set of its medieval buildings. Make sure to visit them including the refectory dormitory and chapter room , together with the cloister of D. Dinis, the surprising kitchen and the Kings’ room.

A true love story resides in the church, two of the toms you ll find there are from King Pedro I and his mistress Ines de Castro. Fulfilling his royal duty, Pedro was forced to marry the Princess of Castille, Constanza at an early age. Shortey after they were married, she died suddenly and so Pedro ran of to Coimbra to his mistress Ines. Pedro’s dad, King Afonso IV, feared that Ines family posed a threat t his Kingdom and ordered her murder, After King Afonso IV died and Pedro became king, he had her body exhumed and reburied in a tom inside the church that lay directly across from his, so that on the day of resurrection, she would be his first sight.




Castelo de Alcobaca



Perched on the hill above the town, the Castelo de Alcobaça offers one of the most impressive panoramic views in the region. Although only parts of the medieval walls remain, the site is rich in history and atmosphere, giving visitors a sense of Alcobaça’s strategic importance during Portugal’s early formation.


From the castle grounds, you can admire a breathtaking view of the Monastery of Alcobaça — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — as well as the surrounding orchards, valleys, and the charming town below. It’s a peaceful spot for photos, a short walk, or a quiet moment overlooking the landscape.


The castle dates back to the 12th century, built shortly after the Christian reconquest, and later reinforced by King Dinis. Today, it remains a favourite viewpoint for travellers exploring Alcobaça’s heritage.





Jardim do Amor – Alcobaça’s Romantic Garden



The Jardim do Amor is a charming hillside garden near the Monastery of Alcobaça, inspired by the legendary love story of Pedro and Inês. With colourful flowers, peaceful paths, and lovely viewpoints over the town, it’s a perfect spot for a quiet stroll. Don’t miss the heart-tile staircase, where visitors leave their names — a sweet and photogenic symbol of eternal love.





Nazare



Nazare is one of the most polupar beaches and old fischer village on the Solver Coast, You can still see the mwonen weareing traditional costumes with seven flanned shorts in different colurs. The twon consists of theorugh neighbouhoods: Praia (along the beach), Sition (old village on top of a clff), and Pederneira (another old village on a hilltop), Praia and Sition are lined by the Nazare Funicular, an funiciula railway. Soon another Funicular will link the village of Pedernaira, Fun to take a ride!


Nazare is also known for its vibrant traditional Carnival and offers nice restaurants and can be visited all year round.
If you profer surf, Just 20 minutes from Quinta da Boa Vida, the legendary Praia do Norte in Nazaré is home to the largest waves ever surfed. This unique underwater canyon creates some of the most powerful swells on the planet, attracting elite surfers and thousands of spectators each winter.


Nazaré, just a short drive from Quinta da Boa Vida, holds the world record for the biggest wave ever surfed — a 26.21-meter giant ridden by Sebastian Steudtner in 2020. Praia do Norte is now a global hotspot for big-wave surfing, attracting athletes and visitors from around the world.





Obidos



Óbidos is a beautifully preserved fortified hilltop town and one of the most picturesque destinations in Portugal. Surrounded by ancient stone walls and crowned by its iconic castle — named one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal — the town feels like stepping straight into a medieval storybook. Wander through its narrow cobbled streets, whitewashed houses trimmed with bright blue and yellow, charming squares, artisan shops, and flower‑draped balconies. Every corner reveals another postcard‑perfect view. Obidos remains a well preserved example of medieval architecture, its streets, squares and its castle are a visit well worth. If you love some adventure, the best activity is to walk around the town walls, showing beautiful vies over the tiled roofs and traditional painted houses of Obidos, A visit to Óbidos wouldn’t be complete without tasting the region’s famous Ginja, a sweet cherry liqueur traditionally served in chocolate cups — a small delight you shouldn’t miss.


Each July Obidos hosts a traditional Medieval Market recreating the spirit of medieval Europe.





Leiria



Leiria is know for its beautiful castel sitting on to of a hill in the centero fo tourn.





Sao Martinho do Porto



This small city has a beautiful bay shaped like a scallop, with calm waters and fine white sand, the bay is only connected to the sea by an opening of r hew metres hence waters are quite and great for children.





Batahla Monastery



The Monastery of Batalha was built to commemorate te victroy of Aljubarrota over the Castillain Intervention, ti was erected in a Gothic style and tool 129 years to finish.





Porto de Mos



Porto de Mos (Caves)
There are caves found in the nearby national pork (about 20 Minutes drive) that span over 11500 meters, although only 600 meters can be seen by the public. They are truly a sight to see and worth the visit!


Porto de Mos (Dino Parque)
A pre-historic journey through this Jurassic theme park. Walk among replicas of some of the giants that once roamed the earth. Sure to be a delight with the kids in your group.





Bacalhoa Buddha Eden Park



A unique combination of natural beaty and man-made artistry brought together by ancient methods and round of winemaking tradition. These 35 hectares of beaty is home to sculptures, lakes beautiful gardens and a place that you can spend hours getting lost in. Great for kids and adults alike.





Tomar – The Historic City of the Knights Templar

Fátima – One of the World’s Most Important Pilgrimage Destinations
